Kaydro
Terms of Service
The agreement between your business and Sahal Global (SGI). Last updated 31 July 2026.
The short version. Pay for the plan you use, and Kaydro is yours to run your business with. Your records stay yours — you can take them with you whenever you want, including on the day you leave. We will keep the service running and tell you honestly when something breaks.
1. Who this is between
These terms are between Sahal Global (SGI), Garowe, Puntland, Somalia, and the business that holds a Kaydro account. Creating an account or using Kaydro means accepting them.
2. What Kaydro is
Kaydro is business software delivered over the internet: point of sale, stock, sales and purchases, customers and deyn, accounting, staff and payroll, reporting, and additional modules for particular trades. Which parts you get depends on the plan you hold. The point-of-sale is designed to keep working without an internet connection and to send its sales up once a connection returns.
3. Your account and your staff
You are responsible for the accounts you create and for what is done with them. Give each person their own login rather than sharing one, set roles so people can reach only what their job needs, and remove access when somebody leaves. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been misused.
4. Plans, fees and payment
- Prices for each plan are shown on our website and confirmed to you before you start.
- A setup fee, where one applies, covers onboarding: bringing in your opening balances, products and staff, and training your people.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period of the plan.
- Some plans carry a fixed term, which is stated clearly before you commit.
- We will give you reasonable notice before changing the price of a plan you hold.
5. The free Deyn Book
The Deyn Book is free, with no time limit and no card required. It is limited to one branch and a small number of users, and it does not include the other Kaydro apps.
If you later move to a paid plan, nothing is migrated and nothing is lost: the customers and debts you recorded are already the same records the rest of Kaydro reads, and they simply become visible in the apps your new plan includes.
6. Your data belongs to you
- The records you enter remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
- You can export them from inside Kaydro at any time, without asking us.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show it to other customers. How we handle it is set out in our Privacy Policy.
- If you leave, you keep the right to an export for a reasonable period afterwards.
7. Fair use
When using Kaydro you agree not to:
- break the law, or use Kaydro to help somebody else break it;
- upload material you have no right to, or anything designed to cause harm;
- attempt to reach another company's data, or to get around the limits of your plan;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or copy it in order to compete with it;
- resell or sublicense Kaydro without a written partner agreement with us.
Serious or repeated breaches can lead to suspension, as described in section 10.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep Kaydro available at all times, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, upgrades, network faults and hosting failures can all cause downtime. We schedule planned work outside busy trading hours where we can, and the offline point-of-sale exists precisely so that a lost connection does not stop you selling.
Support is provided during our published hours through the channels we give you. Where we have agreed an on-site response time for your area, we will honour it.
9. Backups
We back up the system nightly, and we test that those backups can be restored. This protects against our failures. It is not a substitute for your own copy of your records — exporting your data periodically is a sensible habit and Kaydro makes it easy.
10. Late payment and suspension
If a subscription is not paid we will remind you before doing anything. An account that remains unpaid is first placed in read-only: you can still open Kaydro, read your books and export everything, but you cannot record new transactions. Your data is not deleted when this happens. Paying restores full use immediately.
We may suspend an account without notice only where it is being used to attack the service or to break the law.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Kaydro at any time; tell us and we will close the account at the end of the period you have paid for. Fixed-term plans run to the end of their term. We may end the agreement for a serious breach of these terms, or with reasonable notice if we withdraw the service. Either way you get a period afterwards in which to export your data.
12. Responsibility
Kaydro helps you keep your records; it does not replace your own judgement. The figures it produces are only as good as what is entered into it, and it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for meeting your own obligations to the authorities.
We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or business decisions made from reports. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Kaydro changes. The date at the top will change, and we will tell you inside Kaydro when a change is significant. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applying in Puntland, Somalia, and disputes are subject to the courts there. We would far rather resolve a disagreement by talking to you first.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms go to info@sahalglobal.org, or reach us at Garowe, Puntland, Somalia.
